Gratitude

None of the things that we will share with you today would have been possible if it weren't for you. Through the generosity and faithfulness of the members of Good News Church, we have received $53,000 over our budgeted giving goal for the first six months. Thank you for partnering with us and the Gospel and seeing the kingdom of God expanded.

Financial Update 2025

First six months of the year:

• GIVING

• Year-to-Date: $1,263,008

• Budget Year-to-Date: $1,209,222

• Difference: $53,786

In the six three months of the year we have spent over $210,000 to our church planting partners around the world.

Three Year Strategic Plan Goals

Through the work of the Holy Spirit, Good News Church has become a church with three great loves. Good News loves Jesus Christ because He first loved us and gave Himself for our sins. We love to spend time with Jesus in worship together, to follow Him in all of life, and to share Him with others. Good News loves one another because Jesus first loved us and said we could love like Him. We understand we are both needy and needed in the local church.  Good News loves the lost because Jesus loved us and sends us into the world as His ambassadors. More and more people are being equipped to win others to faith in Jesus Christ where they live, work, and play.

CULTURE: We have a culture that is effectively winning, building, equipping, and multiplying reproducing disciple-makers.

• 147 people came to faith through the witness of 62 members of Good News Church. For 23 of those evangelists, it was the first time leading someone to faith in Christ.

• In the first six months of the year 58 people signed up to begin walking through the Map with another disciple to learn how to follow Jesus.

ENGAGEMENT: Members are more engaged in the life and ministry of the church.

• On average, there were 733 people (including kids) joining us each Sunday for worship. We also averaged 68 views each week on our livestream. Thirty-six people took membership vows and joined Good News Church.

UNITY: We have unity in purpose and strategy for disciple-making among church leadership.

During the week of June 23-27 we hosted VBS at both campuses. Here is how God showed up:

• 375 Kids in Attendance

• 200 Leaders

• 78 Professions of Faith - Kids

• 26 Evangelists

• 8 First-time Evangelists

LEADERSHIP: We have a plan for the ongoing leadership of the church.

On January 5th, we held a Vision Night for Good News Church at the Wildwood campus. Members heard about the future direction and leadership of the church. We shared that in the spring of 2026, Smiley will pass the baton of leadership to capable men who love Jesus and Good News Church. Smiley will continue to minister and use his gifts to make disciples. Dave Aucremann will serve as senior pastor of Good News Church while remaining at the World Golf Village campus. Strider Stokes will serve as campus pastor of Wildwood Campus. We have been planning for a strong and healthy transition for the church for many years.

In June, the process for recruiting and hiring of two assistant pastors was approved by the elders. We have formed a search team from members of both campuses and have started the selection process. Here are the team members:
