Good News is a Presbyterian Church (PCA: Presbyterian Church in America). PCA is an evangelical denomination, which means:

• We believe people are lost and need to be rescued with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

• The Bible is the Word of God (Inspired, Inerrant, Authoritative, Sufficient).

“Presbyterian,” in Greek, means “elder, spiritually mature one.” There are ten elders on our Session (Elder Board) representing both campuses. The Session consists of eight ruling elders and two teaching elders—Dave Aucremann and Smiley Sturgis. Teaching elders have been seminary-trained, examined, and ordained in the PCA. The ruling elders have been nominated by our congregation, trained in Leadership Training Class, examined, elected by the congregation, ordained and installed.
